PROGRESS REPORT.
F.ENGINE TYPE TEST. ENGINE NO.F.XIV.MS.39.

A further 10 hours was run on the test bed on Saturday.

Amount of running todate, 30 hrs. on test bed, 50 hrs. on hangar, total running 80 hrs.

Engine continues to run satisfactorily.

HP. maintained, 472, i.e. 9/10ths. of 525 rated HP.

Consumptions - Petrol for last 10 hrs. .545 pts. pr HP. Hr
Average since start of test .53 pts.pr.HP.Hr

Oil for last 10 hrs. 7.25 pts. pr Hr.
Average since start of test 5.8 pts. pr Hr.

Very slight freezing during early part of 10 hour run only.

Magneto points, A.{Mr Adams} .010" B. .010. Unchanged.

Examination after 10 hrs. revealed three further exhaust springs broken, A.24, A.20. B.12.

All sparking plugs were tested under pressure.
A.2. Exhaust plug failed - replaced.
