Date  13th March 1922

NOTICE: WILL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} PLEASE MODIFY THE STEERING COLUMN ANGLE AS SHEWN BELOW. THE 20.250 BELOW WHEEL AGREES WITH PEREGRINE, BUT THE DIMENSION 'A' FROM THE BACK OF THE DASH WILL EXCEED THE 32 PROPOSED FOR THAT MODEL. SINCE THE PEREGINE PEDALS ARE MUCH NEARER TO THE DASH THAN THOSE ON D.F.P. THE ACTUAL LEG ROOM ON BOTH CARS IS ABOUT EQUAL. THE COLUMN SHOULD BE SWUNG DOWN KEEPING THE PENDULUM LEVER STATIONARY & ALLOWING THE WHEEL TO TURN. IT IS HOPED THAT THE SPOKE POSITION WILL NOT BE BAD.
WE WOULD LIKE THE EGG-BOX BODY BEING BUILT AT DERBY TO HAVE THESE COLUMN & SEATING DIMENSIONS.
PRESENT POSITION
ADJUST ANGLE BY PACKING
THESE DIMENSIONS APPLY TO THE COMPRESSED CUSHION
SCALE APPROX 1/10.
MODIFIED COLUMN POSITION. 10-HP. D.F.P.
ROLLS ROYCE, LIMITED PRINT ROOM. 13 MAR. 1922 DERBY
