-3- Note. In order to afford a fair ground for comparison, having only a wooden model of the new head, wooden models were used both for the Lec.3673 figures and the Standard EB.615 ones, since, owing to the better radii, smoother surfaces etc. a wooden model gives a better flow than an actual head of similar design. (c) Only slight improvement in flow is obtained by increasing the valve lift by .050". SUMMARY. (A) There is definitely no appreciable improvement in altering the port design of the standard EB.615 head to that of EB.1337. (B) The suggested design to Lec.3673 is a great improvement. (C) The improvement obtained with the design Lec.3673 by increasing the valve lift a further .050" is almost negligible. EB/C.S. Steadman. | ||
