1328 Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.1/MH. {M. Huckerby} 3rd. December 1937. Messrs. The British Thermostat Co, Ltd., Teddington Works, Windmill Road, Sunbury-on-Thames, Middlesex. For the attention of Mr. Martin-Hurst. Dear Sirs, Referring to your letter of Nov. 30th, for which we thank you, we would have no objection to the method of soldering the sealing peg which you mention. With regard to the fixing of the internal tube to the bellows plate, the screwed method shown is an error and we are prepared to accept the unit with the tube fixed in the manner which you describe, alternatively there seems to be no reason why the tube and bellows plate should not be in one piece. If you will let us know which method you prefer we will alter our drawing accordingly. The pin to E.13638 is parallel and must be finished off smooth with the bellows plate nose. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
