Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
D E R B Y.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Martindale.

With reference to yours of the 9th inst., which explains all our queries. We agree with you regarding the question of anyone having a patent covering the use of hydraulic actuation on all wedge operating brakes. We also can bring evidence regarding this.

We note that you may try our new Two Leading Shoe Brake in the hear future and we should be quite willing to do all in our power to further such tests.

The results we are getting on this brake are such that we think that all heavy duty internal expansion brakes will be of this type in future.

With very many thanks for writing us.

We remain,

Yours faithfully,
for NEW HUDSON LIMITED

Alex Fraser

GENERAL MANAGER.
