To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} X417 " BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} " Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " MX.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}4/W16.12.25. Herewith is a case from N. to which we wish to draw your attention. After receiving memo "A" we wrote "B", to which they replied as per "C". It would appear that N. do not treat this type of case seriously enough as Bearings should not require refitting due to knocks at 12,000 miles. It might be considered advisable to tell N. that the next time Bearings are knocking at this mileage, or the Flywheel is loose, that the car must come to W. in order that a useful investigation can be made. If you agree or have other suggestions to make, we will include them in our usual report to BJ. [Signature] Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} | ||
