Until we have Mr. Royce's criticisms we think it unwise to assume that either of these is certain to be adopted. We think N. scheme 2132. is the one that R.{Sir Henry Royce} will probably prefer, being on the lines of that for Goshawk 11. These schemes shew idler levers for the brake ropes which we think are necessary to prevent the brake ropes striking the gussets, the sharp edge of which would chafe through the brake ropes.
