Dear Sir:

Your letter of June 12th, addressed to Mr. Robert Jardine, has been turned over to the writer.

It is with deep regret that I tell you Mr. Jardine died very suddenly on June 12th. We were on a business trip to Cleveland when he was suddenly taken with a heart attack and passed away before anything could be done.

We have not made our formal announcement as yet, but since you knew Mr. Jardine so well I wanted you to have the information at this time, and would appreciate your conveying this news to Mr. Coverley.

Yours very truly,

V.C.Young
