Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has this morning sent on the attached memo Dodd has been round to see Pattinson, and has brought back the enclosed report from Dr. Shearwood. At the moment, apparently, we are providing transport two and three times a week to get Pattinson to and from the Infirmary. The Doctor has told him that on no account must he go in a bus, and that he must let him know immediately if the supply of transport fails. Since the report on his progress Pattinson attended a conference of doctors - Laurie and Dyke - but they did not come to a decision whether to carry out an operation or not. It appears that the treatment three times weekly will go on for many months. Do you, in the circumstances, wish me to reply to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} on these lines, or to make any alterations in the present arrangement ?
