Specified. 8.15" Loaded Height. 5.087" 1st Test. Free Height. 8.15" Screwed down to 6.15" Deflection to 4.65" Working Stroke 1-1/2" Total hours worked 1st test 66. hours. 66/min Giving approximately 260,000 Deflections. 2nd Test. Free Height. 8.15" Screwed down to 5.9" Deflection to 4.15" Working Stroke. 1-3/4" Total hours worked 2nd test 55. hours. 65.5/min Approx No of Strokes 215,000. Meantime we have placed an order with Salters for 25 sets as it is quite impossible to wait any longer until the tests the Experimental Shop are carrying out with sample springs supplied by (a) Firths (b) English Steel Corporation are completed.
