individually, half in volume for the same rate of fuel feed, with considerably diminished disturbing effect on the running of the engine.

(2) The petrol supply is led in at the bottom of each chamber and rises and falls quietly without mixing with the air hence the latter should be comparatively free from vapour. In the common form of autovac the fuel enters at the top and splashes down into the empty tank.

No doubt the apparatus as made is not so reliable as the standard instrument with the trip gear, but it examplifies the principle of using the suction all the time.

The air valve can be positively operated by the float if desired and is shewn so in the patent specification.

This matter might be the means of improving the breed of the autovac device and as an alternative to fitting a mechanical air suction pump, at least on the smaller chassis.

We are sending the model to Derby for thme to see and in case you would like it tried on a chassis.
