re Myth Instrument Board.

We have now set out completely a perspective view of the Myth Instrument Board as given to us on RB.{R. Bowen}13004. There are a number of points which need to be cleared up before we can produce a water colour because your drawing of the instrument board does not solve all the problems. We feel that a more comprehensive scheme is required before we can finish our job and if it is your wish with your help we could produce it. The following points need clarification.

(1) No provision is made for a tool drawer and it appears to us that the shape of the board will need to be modified in order to accommodate this feature.

(2) No indication is given of the shape of the capping around the screen wiper control knobs. These were shown on the more detailed scheme for the original board RB.{R. Bowen}13002 sheet 2. but the design used there cannot be repeated on the new scheme.

(3) With respect to the screen control knob, similar remarks apply to those given in number -, concerning the screen wiper.

(4) The ash tray behind the steering wheel cannot be used and Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has suggested we delete it.

(5) The right hand cubby hole is a peculiar shape and it is proposed to reduce it in size and square it up. The left hand cubby hole wants treating accordingly and it is suggested that a different treatment of the ash tray be produced. Have the cubby holes got chamfered edges or round corners or what ?

(6) Referring to the panel of instruments the lighting employed is that which we have tried in the past and found to be inadequate and not up to the standard of our competitors. The outer instruments namely the clock and ammeter have lights only on one side. We suggest that an extra lamp on the outside will have to be produced.

It has been suggested by Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} that the main switch should be like that on B.V. and have the characteristic handles.
