Attached is R.R. sch. 269 for the hand controlled J.III type of shock absorber which is now being detailed. The only doubtful point is whether the metal diaphragm will give .100" movement at the centre without being over-stressed. To prove this point could you make up one in brass. We think .020" thick is about the right dimension. This will then be tested.
