It has been decided to produce the Wraith bottom tappets at R.R. and not from Smiths of Wolverhampton, therefore the order to the latter people in accordance with the memo. HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}9/BA.4.10.37. is withdrawn. The drawing of the tappet EW.1413 shows it to be machined all over, whereas EX.27960 has no internal machining other than the spherical housing and its face. Will you please modify the drawing EW.1413 accordingly which will automatically make the production of the tappet much cheaper and reinstruct to HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel} and people concerned. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} | ||
