Dear Sir, We are in receipt of your letter of the 30th. ult. and regret that we omitted to send on to you the spark gap in question. This is being sent to you today, under separate cover. The actual voltage as measured with a valve and voltmeter has come out at 7,400, not 8,000, as calculated. We do not think we need trouble you to return the literature from Messrs. Kelvin, Bottomley and Baird, as as far as we can see we are not likely to want this for some time to come, and should we require any further instruments from them we should prefer to get a fresh quotation.
