A.{Mr Adams} FROM ER. C. to C.C. ORIGINAL DAL/24.6.32. X5310. X634. 25HP. TORSIONALLY FLEXIBLE JOINT IN TRANSMISSION. Herewith we send R.{Sir Henry Royce} Sch. 3432. showing the proposed torsionally flexible joint behind the gearbox. Except for the slight grinding out of the 3rd. motion shaft to receive the bearings the gearbox is unaltered. The same applies to the propeller shaft, but one fork in the universal joint is modified. In addition to this we are sending immediately a suggestion for a similar flexible joint in the clutch itself, and also a Hardy fabric coupling in the place of the present forward universal joint.
