This column is for Name of Person addressed. Mr Wormald DATE. 21-2-13 Re Valve Springs. X74 RECEIVED STAMP [W.M. 1913] With reference to Mr Royce's notes, R1/B11213, re Valve Springs, I find that Messrs. Salters make all Napiers springs. They also say they have made a number of springs for Sunbeam, but their prices are not such as to induce business with them. The Sunbeam have left them because they were able to purchase cheaper springs elsewhere. Salters say they are unable to lower their price because they supply Crucible Cast Steel. As regards the springs from Vickers, these were made up by Messrs. Cocker Bros. of Sheffield, who do all Vickers spring work. I am making further enquiries as regards the other springs mentioned by Mr Royce. [Signature] [Handwritten note: Ru Mercer AW] This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
