| 262 Experimental Dept. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}7/MH.{M. Huckerby} 25th. April, 1939. E.R.Hall, Esq., Hartley Cottage, Kirkburton, Nr. Huddersfield, YORKS. Dear Sir, In confirmation of our discussion over the 'phone yesterday, we enclose drawings of the clutch-case and bell housing etc. of the Phantom III engine which you require for application of the special gearbox. Regarding the running of the engine at an inclination of 11° approximately 1 in 5 gradient, this will be satisfactory and we will correct the carburetter to level by means of a wedge-shaped packing. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
