Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sir,

I thank you for your letter of the 25th instant, and whilst I appreciate your point in regard to fitting parts to your cars which you have not had the opportunity of testing out, I feel that the present circumstances are exceptional.

I would like you to understand that in suggesting Specialloid Pistons being fitted to my own car, I have not in view making this a possible opportunity for you to take up our Pistons for the Bentley car, but wish to fit them entirely for my own personal satisfaction.

I suggest that perhaps you would care to see my Chief Designer, Mr. McConnell, who would go into the matter further with you.

As you will appreciate, the number of engines of all types and kinds for which we design and supply both original test Pistons and bulk supplies, does give us sufficient experience to design a Piston which we have no hesitation in saying could not possibly be detrimental to other parts of your engine.
