Dear Sirs,

Re your letter ref. FGM/AGS/CJ. of the 1st inst., in which you state that you will require the special top cover, which we are preparing, in order to assemble the steering gear for the Bentley.

We think that it would save time if you assemble the gear with a standard top cover which we can replace by the special one when we receive the gear. The face of the top cover which is fitted to the steering box is flat so no errors in assembly should be introduced by our doing this.

We are returning to you the parts of a "Gemmer Model 370" steering which you loaned to us when the writer visited you last and we thank you for the loan of the parts.

Yours truly,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
