Continued report on distributor misfiring issues, suggesting better curing and increased carbon brush pressure as a remedy.

-2- Contd. burning. Possibly three of the segments are higher than the others (dueto contraction of the distributor moulding) so that the carbon brush, which only has a small spring pressure, is unable at high speeds to make satisfactory contact with the three lower segments. This also might explain the misfiring experienced at high speeds. Better curing of the distributor moulding, and an increase in the carbon brush pressure would probably be the remedy.
