Dear Mr.Massey,

With regard to your query yesterday about Papelian's car, I find that the red tape is as follows -

A record is kept of the chassis numbers of the 50% of chassis which leave the Works using either Price's or Wakefield's oil. If a customer, therefore, rings up and asks what oil to use he will be told from the Records what oil is in his engine.

I presume Papelian worded his question in this manner, because if he merely asked for a recommended oil he would be told the whole list in the Instruction Book.

I have asked Leslie to let you know the position of the shock absorber oils.
