Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}2/AP. December 23rd.1937 R.J.W.Massey, 10, Middleton Crescent, Beeston, NOTTINGHAM. Dear Mr.Massey, With regard to your query yesterday about Papelian's car, I find that the red tape is as follows - A record is kept of the chassis numbers of the 50% of chassis which leave the Works using either Price's or Wakefield's oil. If a customer, therefore, rings up and asks what oil to use he will be told from the Records what oil is in his engine. I presume Papelian worded his question in this manner, because if he merely asked for a recommended oil he would be told the whole list in the Instruction Book. I have asked Leslie to let you know the position of the shock absorber oils. Yours sincerely, | ||
