Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}24/KW. 24th April, 1936. Messrs. Dunlop Ltd., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham. For the attention of Mr. Price. Dear Sirs, We should like to try as soon as possible wheels on our Phantom III cars of 18 x 5 section but with rims of the type that we now use as standard. We understand you do not think we should standardise those like the experimental set of six already supplied. Will you let us have 12 wheels for test as soon as possible. We presume the spoking will in no way be inferior to that which has been found necessary on the existing standard wheel. Our Order Office will send you an official order. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
