WRAITH (contd)

Development work with the Straight Eight or V.8 engines was to be held up until the return from the U.S.A. of the Works' representatives.

As an alternative to an 8-cylinder engine a new 6-cylinder engine was to be considered.

GENERAL

Coachwork Developments

It was agreed that S. would support Park Ward in the development of the aluminium body as reported on by E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} arising out of the visit of Mr.Ward and Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} to Switzerland.

Shock Absorber Control

S. suggested that the wording on steering columns should be altered from Max. and Min. to 'Hard' and 'Soft'. This was agreed to.

S. also raised the question of the control of the reverse gear which had been criticised as being uncertain in its operation. This was also agreed to, and modifications will be worked out to make this better.

It was suggested that a meeting between S.coach-work representatives and Works representatives should be held once every two months, and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} will arrange. The S. representatives will be Mn and JLB.
