-2- Attached are various curves shewing development work carried out on this engine. Actually it will be seen that with R.{Sir Henry Royce} engine cam forms and .750 radius followers there is a gain of about 2% in intermediate M.E.P. and 5% in top ower, but it was not thought to be worth risking valve spring failure for such a small gain.
