Dear Sirs,

We have yours of yesterdate and in reply would say that we have no goods which are your property. The only Thermometer that we have at the moment is the one sent to us under your Advice No. G/F231224 .....this is, however, the instrument which we sent you on trial.

We might mention that this instrument has had our careful attention and test, and we find that the trouble was entirely due to the pointer being loose on the boss. We do not know how you wish us to consider the matter of this Transmitting Thermometer...is it your wish that we pass you our Invoice, or do you wish still to have the instrument on trial ?

Yours faithfully,
NEGRETTI & ZAMBRA.
