Modifications and fault rectifications required for a Bentley V No.1 Continental unit.

BENTLEY V No.1 UNIT - CONTINENTAL.

In accordance with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Sudl.1/RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9.3.39., the above unit is being returned to the shop for the following work. This unit will eventually be fitted to 14-B-V Continental Chassis when same returns from Coachbuilder.

1. Fit RR Ignition Distributor to LOP RR 2300-DCD 1182. Governor Characteristics to be checked by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}
2. New High Tension wires to be fitted, also front bracket for same.
3. Fit correct coils.
4. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/ERC to specify Flywheel & Clutch.
5. Fit rubbers under rocker nuts to HXS 1377. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Sudl will supply.
6. Fit HXS 1507 Induction Pipe and HXS 1521 Air Intake. Carburetters to be supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Crs.
7. Fit RR 6516 Push Rods - RCD 1096.
8. Remove Metalastik dynamo coupling and fit standard.

The following faults to be rectified :-

Water leaks from exhaust manifold centre port studs.

Oil leak from 'General' oil filter, bottom banjo washers, and top cover joint.

Oil leak from plunger spigot in wheelcase, also latter requires a joint washer.
