As the top and bottom pipes to the external filter are non standard and made to suit position of the filter, replacement pipes with a strengthened bracket are being made and when complete will be sent out.

Until then as per our telegram, will you endeavour to stiffen the bracket in order to keep running with the filter.

A direct pipe from the oil pump to the crankcase has been sent out for the oil pressure recovery test after braking. This short circuits the filter and should only be run for the minimum time to obtain results as a comparison to those obtained with the filter.

As it appears to be the thermometer pocket that is failing, the new pipes will not have one included. We are surprised to hear that the filter bracket does not keep the filter rigid as a similar layout ran O.K. throughout the last 15,000 miles on B.56.BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}

Are all the bolts tight?
