OUR REF M/MD. 4th October 1938. PATENT 'M.M.' DRAUGHTLESS VENTILATORS for MOTOR CARS Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited, Experimental Dept., DERBY. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 3rd inst., Reference "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}8/JH", and in connection with the further two sets of Ventilators which we are preparing for you we beg to state that they will be despatched to you on Wednesday, the 5th inst. We would however mention that, in connection with your letter of the 17th ultimo in which you suggest that the top and bottom supporting brackets should be permanently fixed to the frame-work, we have been able to modify one pair of Ventilators to incorporate this, and we should very much appreciate your remarks on our ideas in this connection. You will understand that what we have done is of a temporary nature, but we think it will conform to your ideas in this direction. We are very glad indeed to learn that you have decided to instruct Messrs. Park Ward & Co. to "build in" two sets of our Ventilators into the doors of the next experimental bodies they are constructing. We thank you for this further opportunity of demonstrating to you the efficiency of our Ventilators for all running conditions. We shall be only too pleased to meet you at the Coach Builders' Works to discuss the matter further as soon as they are ready to do so. Again thanking you for your kindness and consideration in our endeavour to demonstrate that our "M.M."
