RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RECEIVED NOV 17 1932 Y 119. E/JNH.1/HP.11.11.32. re Peregrine Oil Relief Unit. Instead of the bellows for cutting off the extra oil supply to the cylinders we should like to use a box of Bi Metal plates. To get an idea if this scheme is possible a collection of plates on a central pin should be made, similar to the sketch herewith, and the total expansion measured under different oil temperatures. This is experimental only, we have no relief valve large enough to try this device on an engine. E/JNH. | ||
