c. to Mr. Mills O.O. 81053 Expl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/MJ. June 29th.1931. The Zenith Carburetter Co. Ltd., 40/42, Newman St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}, LONDON.W.1. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 26th.inst. with reference to the chokes and jets for the 36 V1 carburetters. With reference to the 36 DUP, carburetter with which you supplied us a short time ago, we find that this instrument is so very sensitive to the throttle position with regard to distribution, we can do nothing with it. We should be glad to know if you would take this carburetter, complete with the jets, chokes, etc., back from us and credit our account with the value of same as it is of no use to us. The 36 V1 carburetters appear to be more promising, and if we could get them to a state where we are sufficiently satisfied with them we may ask for further assistance from your representative. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
