Description of Parts. 48 COIL ARMATURE DYNAMO OF MEDIUM OUTPUT i.e. WITHOUT POLE PIECE MODIFICATION. (IN CONJUNCTION WITH TWO-RATE OUTPUT SWITCHING SCHEME).
Origin. Necessity of reverting to earlier cutting in than is provided for by the 48 coil high output dynamo recently standardised.

Experimental Test Report.
A machine of this type has been prepared, having been given a brush setting for largest possible output consistently with the fact that the machine is to be used with the two-rate output switching scheme. This machine has been fitted to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car 58-GN and on preliminary test at Derby operated satisfactorily.
