RR 238 (300 Bks.) (SF 152. 6-11-18.) MP 197880 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: EFE Order No: H13.52 Customer's No: 1 X. 4079a 12 Sept 1922 x 4079 B Coils on Resonance. In order to check the inductance figures found for the secondaries of some of these coils, the old B coil and SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}1 were arranged with their secondaries in series with a mica condenser of .195 mf capacity in turn. With 200 volts a.c at 50~, the current with the old B coil was 20.5 m/a, and with SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}1 20.0 m/a, the impedances thus being 9750 w and 10000 w respectively. With the condenser short-circuited the currents were 10.4 m/a (19200 w impedance [struck through] reactance) and 10.6 m/a (18,850 w reactance [struck through] impedance) resp. Signed: F.J.
