x 4079 B Coils on Resonance.

In order to check the inductance figures found for the secondaries of some of these coils, the old B coil and SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}1 were arranged with their secondaries in series with a mica condenser of .195 mf capacity in turn.

With 200 volts a.c at 50~, the current with the old B coil was 20.5 m/a, and with SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}1 20.0 m/a, the impedances thus being 9750 w and 10000 w respectively.

With the condenser short-circuited the currents were 10.4 m/a (19200 w impedance [struck through] reactance) and 10.6 m/a (18,850 w reactance [struck through] impedance) resp.
