Reference. Description. Notes.

EB.2828. Spun. filled tail pipe on exhaust system. Further mileage required. Will be on next 15,000 miles' test Bentley.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} Ferodo BZ (Against Lepaz) for brake liners. Light squeaks only. Rapid wear against Lepaz.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} Girling Brakes. Much useful experience gained.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} Aluminium Brake drums with Brimol liners. Drums grew permanently attributed to inadequate heat treatment, allowing Brimol liners which have only shrink fit to come loose.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} Aluminium Brake Drums with Milenite liners. Crackles developed with this, and all the other aluminium drums, also attributed to growth of Aluminium. Special attention has been given to heat treatment of drums for next 15,000 test Bentley, and the liners have been plated to prevent rust film forming.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} Hand and Foot Brake combined (as designed for Wraith). Useful experience gained.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. KLG. Sparking Plugs with corrundite insulators. Type E.27. Useful life on 15,000 miles' test was 12,000 miles due to burning of points. One insulator fractured round electrode.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} Anti-judder weights on front brakes. Already on production, but bad wearing pins and bushes calls for modification.
