Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} 206 Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}26/IB.22.4.37. BRAKE SQUEAKS - BENTLEY. File With reference to your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM{Anthony F. Martindale}6/R.15.4.37., we originally tried the S.5805 linings, but without much success, and on your recommendation we stopped using them. The S.6611 liners appear to have been better, although we are still unable to say that they are a cure. They have been fitted in three cases of complaint:- B.64-GA. Hawkins. The brakes did not squeak on test, but Mr. Hawkins has recently complained again and the liners have been rebedded. B.214-GA. Breeden. No recurrent complaint, B.66-GA. Ford. No recurrent complaint.
