Messrs. Joseph Lucas, Ltd.,
Great King Street,
Birmingham 19.

Dear Sirs,

Herewith blueprint of RB.{R. Bowen}11005 showing the fixing plate which we require for two pairs of trafficators - SP.{Mr Spinney}34J.

Referring to your blueprint FX.5196, the vertical dimensions shown against the two views, i.e., one of the trafficator and one of the piercing required.

On the piercing, the dimensions are 1.062 and 7.843, which total 8.905. On the trafficator the corresponding dimensions are 1.162 and 7.812 totalling 8.974.

As you will see this calls for a longer trafficator arm than the slot into which it drops. We have assumed that the dimensions shown for the trafficator arm are correct, and have increased the length of our piercing accordingly.

We shall be glad to know if this is correct. We shall also be glad to know if you supply the screws for fixing.

Our official order for the trafficators will follow in due course.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE, LTD.,
