x7960. S/W - RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}3/T.17.10.30 You will remember that when you were in London a few weeks back, you mentioned you had a friend who might want to buy a 20/25-HP Enclosed Limousine, but who would not pay the Barker or Hooper price. I then mentioned to you that we were bringing through some sample cheap bodied cars. These have just come to hand. One is a body by Maythornes, another is a body by Mulliners, Birmingham, and the third is a body by Mulliners, Northampton. All three are quite attractive, but we think the Maythorne the better one, and we have decided to give them an order for a quantity. We shall list the complete car at £1695. This includes Triplex throughout, folding arm rests, bureau-box [handwritten correction: Burovox] telephone, full equipment of accessories, etc., etc. The chassis has a "C" column, and the body is a 6-seater Enclosed Limousine, the extra seats being of the face-forward pattern and fold away flush, when out of use. Your friend might like to buy the sample car, delivery of which we could give in about a months time. It is Blue and Black, with plain cloth upholstery in the back and Black leather in the front. It is standing in our Showrooms at the moment. Needless to say, as it was brought through as a sample, Maythornes tried all they knew how, to make it a really good job. Hn.{F. C.
