CHASSIS - RE: MARKING PAINTING ADJACENT TO BONNET HINGES. With reference to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}4/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 22.2.33. this matter has been very thoroughly ventilated, in fact it has been a matter of argument for the last two years as to whether the buttons were to be retained or deleted. It is only about two months since, after submitting the matter again to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}, Sales and everybody concerned, it was decided to delete the buttons. At the time the buttons were deleted it was pointed out that it was practically certain that depreciation of the finish adjacent to the bonnet hinge was certain to occur, but it was decided that this was the least of two evils. We certainly have not gone far enough to suddenly reverse this decision. BY | ||
