W.H. Halliwell, Esq.,

Portishead, Som.

Dear Mr. Halliwell,

I thank you for your letter of the 17th instant, enclosing the Loan Receipt Book in respect of the policy taken out by your son with the Provident Association of London Limited. I have handed this book to Mr. Allan V.{VIENNA} Nutt, Solicitor, St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} James's Chambers, Derby, who I have instructed in accordance with Mrs. Halliwell's instructions, to deal with the whole matter until it is settled.

I have also handed to Mr. Nutt all the other documents belonging to your son and Mr. Nutt is immediately dealing with the matter.

Yours faithfully,

P.S. I wrote to Mr. C.J. Worcester the other day (it may have been Mrs. Worcester who wrote) asking them to send me copy of the death certificate. I am afraid it will be necessary, in dealing with Mr. Halliwell's affairs, to have at least four copies. These you will be able to get I think at a cost of about 3/7d. each. Will you kindly, therefore, obtain four copies and send them to me.
