The Birmingham Aluminium Casting Co.,Ltd.,
Birmid Works,
Smethwick,
BIRMINGHAM.

For the attention of Mr. A.P. Fenn.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to the Autothermic Pistons you are producing for us, could you let us have an approximate date of delivery for the first experimental sets?

We require this date in order that we can put forward our development programme, and to ensure that we shall be testing the pistons with the minimum delay.

We should also like a drawing of the modified piston, i.e., since our discussion when you recommended reducing the length of the skirt, we should also like the weight of the piston as soon as possible in both A.P.122 and R.R.53 alloys with rings and gudgeon pin, and bare weight of piston without rings and gudgeon pin.

Yours faithfully,

For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
