We do think that our test equipment should include a General Motors type "skid pan" and also the necessary weighing machines for measuring spring rate and roll rate on complete motor cars. The same weighing machines are used for accurate measurement of small frame twists. By having this apparatus we could from time to time send to Cadillacs the results of our experiments and compare them with the work they are doing. Benholm and Olley would very much appreciate if we were to send them the results of any experiments which would be of use to them, and in return would keep us up to date with their latest improvements on the handling of motor cars having very soft springing.

We should like to add that on the occasions when we do find in America a complete cure for one of our troubles we should copy it exactly. Otherwise, we can easily alter some small part that has taken years to get right and so give ourselves endless trouble and unnecessary experimental work.

Ha/Cry.
