ENGINE.
Slight misfires on acceleration with magneto ignition.
Power and acceleration up to standard performance.
Engine gears rattle on acceleration. No trouble with throttle sticking after attention to controls.
GEARBOX.
Change of gear unreliable, selector mechanism requires bringing up to standard production.
REAR AXLE.
Good standard.
STEERING.
Particularly good with damper load in maximum position.
BRAKES.
Fair, servo not efficient.
SPRINGING.
Maximum damping controls the springing very well for high speeds, riding is on the hard side when carrying two passengers only. Car remains quite steady when cornering.
CONTROLLED DAMPERS.
The control mechanism worked satisfactory. Loading of dampers was consistent with the movement of operating lever. No loss of oil took place from the pipe lines after thoroughly tightening up the olive joints and elbows.
CLUTCH.
Fierce in engagement.
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.
There was no trouble with the electrical equipment.
