-3- No. 310-21 April 28, 1931. 2. Chassis Lubrication Piping Points needing lubrication on Delco units are provided with Alemite fittings. Alteration to the existing Bijur system should be carried out in accordance with directions below: (a) Front The tee fitting should be removed from the shock absorber, the drip plug portion removed and replaced by a Briggs Plug (A-2093). The straight through coupling thus formed is replaced on the pipe line. (b) Rear Remove the tee drip plug from the rear spring swivel pin and replace it with elbow plug: 1701-2800 A-7534 (LOB-2) 2801- ON A-14615 (KTA-2) The pipe to the shock absorber should be removed. 3. Adjustment Adjustment of the instrument is provided by a small knurled finger screw on the bottom of the casing. Turning this clockwise increases the effectiveness of the instrument. Our experience has shown the best condition is obtainable with the following settings: Front - 4 notches from tight Rear - 6 notches from tight It may be necessary to vary this slightly to meet individual requirements. 4. Care The Rolls-Royce standard shock absorber oil (Sunoco KC1) is suitable for use in the Delco instrument. Where it is necessary to dismantle Delco connecting links, the following precaution should be used in assembling. Screw the top contact piece in until it is flush with the top of the ball socket housing. The joint is spring loaded and this setting gives correct tension as provided in the design. A.{Mr Adams} W.
