Unsuitability of the current S.S. chassis dynamo for chassis 21-EX and the need for a new machine.

Bailey - Chief Engineer} /RD4/N24.4.29, we are of the opinion that the machine which we have in here and which is representative of S.S. production electrically, is not suitable for putting on chassis 21-EX as absolutely representative of S.S. production. Amongst other things, the armature connections have been rather patched up and cannot be considered as reliable as a standard job. The only course would appear to be to produce another machine for 21-EX absolutely to the latest instruction In regard to further machines, will BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /RD. note that it is considered probable that intermediate output armature machines will be well in the running for standardisation. That being the case, it will be appreciated that we are anxious to have one or th two of these machines as soon as possible for our S.S. expl. cars.
