Bentley Starter Motor.

Replying to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.8/MA.18.12.34, we do not propose to instruct the modified thread on production until more extended tests have been made, and we think that this modification should be specially watched from the point of view of its ability to engage as well as disengage.

Since the new thread is fitted to 5-B-lV it will be 10,000 mile tested in due course, but in the meantime we think other Bentley chassis should be similarly equipped.
