BODY PRODUCTION.

I attach hereto a report which Mr. E.A. Green brought over this morning, and discussed with Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and myself. There are a few points which it is necessary to give some further information upon as outlined below. The report deals with "Office Equipment and Body Production" as follows :-

(a). Office Equipment i.e. production of personnel.

Three methods are outlined under this heading, but they are applicable to either of the schemes of body production outlined.

(b). Body Production Methods.

Four methods of body production are discussed. Mulliners composite body has been deliberately omitted by Mr. Green, because he does not consider that it is in the same class as either of the other four proposals, and personally he feels satisfied that it would not give us satisfaction.

In dealing with the body production, it is necessary to point out that under the headings (a) Cost of Shell and (b) Cost of Finished Body, the tool cost has not been added, but it has been added on the 'Cost of the Finished Body' in the last column.

In the above estimates it should be noted that Wing and Running Boards are not included.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has pointed out that taking the difference between the most expensive and cheapest body in the methods discussed, the difference is £27. per body, whereas the difference in the cost between the highest body in the above list and the lowest we can now buy, is £162.
