Failure of three Smith Electric Clocks on experimental cars.

We have had three cases of electric clock failure on experimental cars. These are :- (1) An experimental clock of the impulse type fitted on car 28.G.VI, stopped and could not be started again. (2) A standard clock No.E.125 fitted to car 28.G.VI in place of the impulse type clock removed also stopped. Examination showed that the fuse inside was burnt out. (3) A standard clock No.E.124 on car 32.EX repeatedly failed to wind up. This would sometimes fail even when held in the hand and shaken.
