April, 1939. W.A. Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Dear Robotham, Thank you for your letter, your remarks are noted. We are rather at a loss to understand the note, "Long duration Inlet Cam" on your power curve, but conclude that this applies to very much more rapid cam acceleration than we are used to. With regard to your remarks about the Buick chassis frame, or rather, lack of it; I meant to ask you if you knew any exact details of what was their trouble, as we had only heard that they had trouble through the elimination of the back end of their chassis frame. Could you give us any more information than this? Sorry we had to put Martindale off until next Wednesday, but I thought it would be best to have Iversen present, and he was away ill. I hope he will be back by next Wednesday, but will let Martindale know if he is still likely to be away. Yours sincerely, M.C. Wilks .00115 in. h L^2 Lo o 232° S - ol rx | ||
