Re 21-G.4. 20/25 HP. Rolls-Royce.
For the attention of Mr.Dodd, Experimental Dept

We are in receipt of your letter of the 5th instant and note that you are sending forward new front apron and oil connection for the above car. At the time of writing these have not actually come to hand.

With regard to delivery we, unfortunately, find that the Body rectifications are much more extensive than we had considered likely from a superficial examination and it is doubtful whether we shall be able to complete our work before the end of this week.

In passing we should like to point out that a good deal of the bonnet noise is, apparently, caused by the fact that you have fitted a flexible radiator mounting similar to those on your 40/50 HP. Chassis, whilst the bonnet clearance allowed was only suitable for the normal semi-rigid standard mounting. We are, however, cutting the bonnet to rectify this.

We will write you further towards the end of the week giving you a definite time when you may expect delivery of the car.
