20 HP. DYNAMO NO.1749- EX CHASSIS GUK.30. (57 segs)

We have duly examined this machine and from inspection we find no reason why it should have run its solder in normal running with the external circuit O.K. We can only conclude that there must have been some fault or disconnection in the external circuit, as it is, in our experience, impossible for this 20 HP. machine to attain commutator solder melting temperature under normal running conditions.

The condition of the commutator is not now entirely O.K, but appears to be exactly such as would be accounted for by over-voltage running.

We return the dynamo to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}
